A New Chapter...

Well, I am not ready to say that my Great Adventure is over.  Each and every day is Another Great Adventure for me :)

But today I started a new chapter.

This chapter is not about mileage.  This chapter is about time.

At about 4:25pm this afternoon, I said goodbye to my son and his roomies, having set them up for dinner with a huge pot of Taco Soup and tortilla chips.

I drove 10 miles, up my new driveway, and let myself in the locked gate to set up house in a 30 foot motor home, nicknamed "Champ".  5 hours later I have made the bed, moved a few things in... including the cats, eaten some hummus and chips, and been on the computer!  (Yay, Wi-fi!!)

I plan to take the next few days to move the rest of my things in from the van.  Weed through and get organized.  It may actually take more than a few days... I have a LOT of stuff packed into the van and my trailer.

And tomorrow at about 9:30 or 10am, I plan to visit the house and see if we can't nail a few things down for this coming week.

I am going to be a nanny/housekeeper/grandma person for this family.  A super couple and three young girls, aged 2, 6 and 8.  Being around little girls is going to be way different than the experience of a houseful of teenage boys.  For sure, really!

I am kinda surprised that I am settling down to this... it is not exactly what I pictured, but I feel it has been so orchestrated by God that it is the right thing for me to be doing.  It also feels kinda weird to say that this area is my new home.  Way different than L-town.  Lots of rains and no mountains.

Of course there are a lot of things to do in this area and beyond, and new things to see.  It is going to be an interesting time.  Maybe about 2 years?  I am totally just guessing.  Sure would be nice to get some of my debts paid off, and then think about traveling again.  We shall see what the Lord has in mind as He reveals it.

:)
