So many beautiful wild flowers along the trail...
The dock of Port Orford...
I spent time in the Port Orchard library charging up, and hanging in a glass case was this beautiful quilt made like a bookshelf with books, and the titles on the spines were the names of donors to the library expansion project. Very uinque...

After I had had lunch at Griff's I wandered around the dock. Port Orford does not have a harbor. It is one of 5 or 6 ports in the world that uses a "dolly" system where they pick the boats up and move them over and drop them down to the water. Well, I had to stay and see that, so I stayed another night in Ray's Food Place parking lot, and was down at the dock at 5am the next morning. A truck tows the boat to the right place, then the boat owner hooks four ropes onto the crane. The crane lifts the boat just a smidge above the railing, and lowers it level. The crew loads their gear and bait, and everyone gets in, and the crane lowers them into the water at the side of the dock. These trucks parked in front of me, but you can see...
I sat next to this guy and his wife at the community dinner the evening before. He was young, she was pregnant, and he proudly told me he was a fisherman...
